Another Sunny morning, 21C but more likely about 16 as the sun is already touching the thermometer and it is only 7:14.
Bowling this afternoon.
Spent part of yesterday cleaning and painting the boat, we have decided after 23 years that it is time for the Snowberry to go to a new home.
I had thought about not posting this morning as I only had one visitor yesterday, but already this am there is visitors from Germany and Latvia so that wouldn't be fair.
Don't forget if you have comments about my blog I would be happy to hear from you.
Continuing with "It's A Dog's Life"

when a hand reached down for the fatso beside me I bit it!
“Not only a runt but a mean little gaffer as well.” Came next.
Over the next few days more strangers came and more of my siblings disappeared. No problem. The milk was still fairly plentiful and the competition was thinning out.
Then one day while I was dozing another stranger arrived, an older lady, there was some discussion going on, I opened one eye, took a look, rolled over and went back to sleep. Suddenly I was lifted up and when I looked the lady was holding me in front of her face, she was smiling. She said, “I don’t care if he is smaller than the rest, sometimes the so called ‘runts’ are the smartest, I will pay you half what you are asking for the others.” She held me closer, I opened my mouth to give her a nip but almost of it’s own accord my tongue slipped out and I licked her nose.
She laughed aloud, “Yes, you’re the one.” She looked over her shoulder at one of my humans and said, “My grandson will love him. Do we have a deal?”
A few minutes later I was plunked in a cardboard box with an old towel and was whisked away. At first it was kind of exciting but a few minutes later my box and I were being lifted up some steps, I peered through one of the holes that had been cut in the box and could make out some wooden seats and windows. Suddenly with a jerk we started moving, it was noisy, my box was rocking; I was scared and suddenly I missed my mother and my brothers and sisters; I didn’t really cry, but I might have made some noises. A hand came down through the top of the box and rubbed my head then my stomach, I licked it and in a moment the rocking motion lulled me to sleep. A little while later I woke when my box was lifted again and we got off that noisy thing (I later learned that it was called a streetcar).
We walked along for a short distance then went up some stairs and into a house. This was where the lady lived and evidently where I was going to live also. We stayed there for several days; I must admit those first few nights were no picnic, during the day when I could explore and visit and learn to drink from a saucer it was fine, but at night I was all alone, no nice soft bodies to curl up with, nothing to suck on, I’m not sure now but I may have cried – but just a little. The first night, I hadn’t settled down yet, the lady brought a roundish object wrapped up in a towel and put it in my new bed. It made a ticking noise and for some reason it helped me go to sleep. I woke up several times through the night and each time snuggled close to the object and each time I quickly dropped off again.
One day the lady scooped me up and holding me to her face said, “Well young man, today we are off for a little trip and you will soon meet your new master.”
Well I didn’t know what a master was, didn’t even know what a trip was so I just licked her nose like that first day and copying her face pulled off a pretty passable smile.
“You little devil, I almost think you understood me!” She exclaimed.
Well of course I understood her, but try as hard as I could, I couldn’t properly respond, so I just wagged what was left of my tail and licked her once more.
