Warm and sunny again. Will finish emptying the one room of M's Mom today.
Happy hour only had about 30 in attendance yesterday. So only about a 50% attendance.
One last story about Skookum: After we left White Rock Ranger school I was a bird dog officer for the summer Today we call them "Air attack Officers". Then went to Summit Lake as a Deputy Ranger. I don't remember if it was the first or second winter but whichever Skook and the Ranger's dog both got wind of a female in heat about 1/3 of a mile away at the local store. Well male dogs being what they are and because the owner of the female was careless about keeping her in, they both visited. We of course didn't know at the time what either dog was up to and it wasn't until neither came home one day that we realized something was up. To shorten this up we found them both dead - shot and dumped at the local garbage dump. It was pretty upsetting and in my wisdom I visited the store and announced to the owner and customers that if by any chance the female out the back came our way she would end up in the same place as my kids dog. Today I wouldn't have got away with such a threat. We had several more dogs after that but after my "Uncle Jerry" and the kids "Skook" it was hard to find one to measure up.
