December 16

6 C overcast.
I do believe some one has passed on a cold bug to me, lets see three days to develop and 3 or 4 days to run its course.

The larger lakes such as Muncho are home to lake char as well.

Chapter 6

I realized yesterday that I had missed a couple of things from the early fall.
The most important one being that my friend Art was an ardent hunter. We had gone on several hunts looking for sheep and it was on one of these that he told me about a flat top mountain above the Tuchodi River. At that time Art owned an Aeronca Sedan four seater airplane. He had a large piece of property big enough for his own airstrip and small hanger. He talked about this mountain a fair amount and he was convinced he could set the plane down on it.
Late one afternoon, his wife Phyllis showed up at our door, Art had headed out at daylight in his plane. He said he would be home about noon but had not returned. She did not know where he had gone or even the direction.
I contacted a couple of the local flite companies, one had a Beaver and the other a Jet Ranger helicopter. They also were friends of Arts. It was too late in the day to launch a search so we arranged to get going the next morning. We still had some hope he would show up before dark. My wife took our kids and went back with Phyliss to wait at their home (and the airstrip). Night came and no Art.
