January 5

5C Clear.

Obviously I never got back on here yesterday, but when I awoke this morning the word "change" popped into my head, so for a day  or two I'm going to expound on "Change".
I'm not referring to those coins we find in pocket or purse but to change as it occurs in our daily lives.
Most of us are against change unless it is something we have decided to do (change or improve).
When change is thrust upon us we usually react with various forms of resistance; doesn't matter whether the change is for the better or not. When we (you, me or us) get an idea to change something we usually embrace it, doesn't matter if it's for the better or not!
When someone else wants to change something for us or in our environment, they call it progress. When new technology is developed specially something that may give us more convenience, pleasure or leisure; we tend to embrace it. But if we imagine it to be restrictive we reject it.
Sometimes our perception of change is extremely inaccurate. For example, I often here it said that the world(people) is/are getting more violent. No, we are no more violent today than when Ghengis Khan roamed about, or when Caesar was busy invading everywhere or when the Christians decided to go crusading. We have certainly found more sophisticated ways of being violent - that could be termed progress by some!
We hear daily about murders and other attacks, but on a per capita basis has there been an increase? I would guess not, we just have more capability of delivering these actions to the world.

My turn to make breakfast, I'll expound more tomorrow (unless I change my mind)!
