5C and clear (sun's not quite up)
We did the garage sale thing at the club yesterday, in the afternoon Chad and I replaced the hot tub roof that had been destroyed in a storm last winter. Then the local "kids" were here for supper and a hot tub.

I flipped through the remaining pages of "Wolf Dreams" last night and found one more poem. Again it is untitled and the words are the finale of the book, but if my interpretation is correct the finale was the beginning of a new chapter.

Tomorrow I will again start posting my story ("Water Borne") from where I left off. I had developed it ahead aways , so have  quite a few days before I have to try and build on it.

Finale

Life is a balloon
Floating, drifting on currents
Beyond it’s control.
Cruel Fate will pick one
To soar high above
And it will prick one
To send it spiraling down
We try our best to fly
An endless struggle
So much easier to crawl,
To slide down the hill.
Instead of climbing up,
But how much better the view
