19C and sunny here in Sidney.
We left Salmon Arm about 9 am yesterday caught the 3 pm ferry.
The trip was uneventful but showery all the way. Will find out today what the next few days will bring.

She found a shirt hanging from a nail, slipped it on and tied the tails around her waist.
‘I wonder where that deer meat is.’ Then remembering the frame over the fire pit she went out side and looked under the tent like structure over the fire pit.
‘Well we’re not going to starve.’ She picked up a chunk and bit off a piece. Nodding her head she said, “Mm, not bad, But something has to be done with it.”
She went back inside, checked Bob, who hadn’t moved, then stoked up the stove
and put on some more water noting that there was only a couple of inches left in the pail.

 Chapter 14

Alicia sat and watched Bob for a few minutes then said aloud,  “Well we’ll need more water and I would think you’ll sleep for awhile, ‘sides there is something in those papers … but I can’t remember what it is.”
She checked and added a piece of wood to the fire, picked up the pail and went out closing the door behind her. She jogged slowly for a bit then slowly picked up her pace into almost a run.
When she got to the pond she spotted the pail that Bob had dropped off early that morning, she tossed the other beside it and continued on along the path towards her boat.
Alicia skirted around the tree where she had found Bob and on to the beach. She checked her ropes once more then reached into the boat and picked up one of her boxes of supplies then headed back along the trail.
Back at the pond she scooped one pail of water full and with it in one hand and the box under her other arm headed on to the cabin.
As she slowed to accommodate her load she started thinking about the tube of papers. Something was plucking at her memory, something about the cabin. Whatever it was stayed just beyond her mental grasp.
Her mind was still wrestling with the shadow memory as she once again entered the clearing
