Cool, cloudy and wet at 6:45
The weather cleared yesterday around 1pm, so it was pleasant weatherwise at the cemetery.
It wasn't good bye, as he is still here within us all. We visited together in the afternoon and like the balloons that we released, everyone eventually rose and went on.
Today, in a few minutes, we will hitch up the car and head down the road for home.
I did do some more on the story yesterday morning.
I better have a look at your backside and see if the bandage is okay.”
Bob opened his mouth to protest then shrugging slightly turned over to his undamaged side.
Alicia pulled the sheet aside and lifted one corner of the bandage, “Looks okay but since we’re this far, I think I’ll wash the area and put on a fresh bandage.”
She poured some water, washed her hands and mixed up some more boric acid solution. Ten minutes later a fresh bandage was in place.
As Bob rolled onto his back he said, “Uh I think there’s some under shorts over there in that box,” he gestured towards the end wall, “maybe I should put them on.”
Alicia, without a word walked over, got the shorts and gave them to him then turned and busied herself with putting more wood in the fire and burning the old bandage.
Bob struggled into the under shorts and as he settled himself he said, “I guess we better talk about the cabin and the island. You knew about the cellar so I guess that means you have some knowledge about the place which supports what you said the other day.”
Alicia turned from the stove and said, “Look we don’t have to talk about that right now. It can wait until tomorrow or the next day.”
“No, let’s have it now, we have nothing else to do while the meat is cooking.”
Alicia shrugged and said, “Okay, suit your self, I’ve brought copies of everything and you can read it all for yourself.”
She fished out the rest of the papers from the canister and carrying them over to the bed she laid them beside him.
