High O/C this am. But yesterday's wind has blown on to somewhere else.

Hmm that reminds me of part of  a paragraph I wrote sometime back: "nothing is ever lost, it's just somewhere else". I think that was in the thing I wrote about the things I've learned.

Got the grass cut out in the front or in this house is it the back? Some reluctant help from the boarder.

The stick slowly started to pull up out of the puncture then suddenly slid out with a sucking noise as Bob gave a mumbled sound of pain.
Blood immediately started to well up and out of the wound, Alicia spat the wood away and forced herself to wait a few seconds before trying to staunch the flow with cotton batten. For the first long minute it seemed that the blood was not going to stop. In seconds the cotton batten was a useless blood soaked mess. Alicia desperately pulled her blouse over her head and wadding it up pushed it against the wound and, pressed down.
Bob moved, although still unconscious he tried to roll away from the pain and the pressure.
“Lie still, damn you.” Alicia cried her fear giving away to frustration and perhaps shock.
Bob’s slight movement was all that his battered body could muster and he lay motionless again.
Time passed and Alicia finally relaxed the pressure then gently and carefully lifted the blood soaked blouse away. Blood still oozed but not gushing as before. Alicia remembered that she had guessed that there would be a large surge of blood and she relaxed slightly. She poured her boric acid mix over the wad of gauze and placed it over the wound.
She picked up the first aid kit and found a roll of tape tucked into one corner.
She dried all around the wound thoroughly then taped the gauze in place.
She sat back and stared at her handiwork for a few seconds then shook her head and said, “Can’t rest yet, there’s still work to be done.”
She tore her blouse in two and rinsed out one half, then adding more water to the cup of boric acid paste she dipped a corner of what was left of her blouse into the thinned out paste and carefully cleaned all the other wounds and scratches. She wiped the bruise on the side of his head then parting his hair away from the gash on his head she cleaned down into the wound and around it with the iodine water. Knowing that she couldn’t do anything more for the time being, she sat back then pulled a cover up over Bob, not quite sure if it was to keep him warm or just to cover him..
She slid off the bed went to the stove and poured the remaining water into the basin in one corner. She washed her hands and face, then looking down at her blood splattered chest, washed her whole upper body.
She found a shirt hanging from a nail, slipped it on and tied the tails around her waist.
