Had a moment yesterday, when a single white balloon escaped at the parade and made its way up and up.
Some more story last evening. I think I'm a bit ahead right now.

to thank you for, I am sure,
saving my life.”
Alicia didn’t say anything in
reply but smiled and got up to light a candle.
They both fell silent for a
few moments, then Alicia said, “Okay let’s get to know a bit about each other,
all I know about you is that you are missing and you ended up here.”
Bob hesitated then giving in
to a hidden need he launched into telling the tragedy that had caused him to go
into seclusion and on to the storm and finding himself on the island. In the
flickering candle light, Alicia had moved over and sat on the edge of the bed
as he started; when he told about the loss of his wife she reached out and
squeezed his hand, his fingers automatically closed over hers and their hands
remained clasped until he arrived at his first stirring after waking up on the
island.
By the time Bob was finished
it was after eight o’clock, Alicia rose and checked the jars then using a large
spoon and a dish rag carefully lifted all the jars out of the water and placed
them on the table.
“I’ll leave the boiler on the
stove as I don’t want to be spilling that boiling water.” She replaced her
makeshift lid. She had hardly turned from the stove when the first jar made a
tinkling pop as the lid sealed itself.
Bob squirmed gingerly about,
finding a more comfortable position then said, “Now it’s your turn, let’s hear
all about you.”
“I don’t know, are you sure
you’re not too tired? Alicia asked.
“Not at all, I think I must
have slept most of the day as it is.”
“Okay, if you are sure, but I
think I have to start back with my Grandmother and work my way forward.”
“Sure thing, go ahead.”
Accompanied by the sound of
popping lids, Alicia told the story of how her grandmother had met her
grandfather; just after she started she paused as it suddenly struck her how
similar that meeting had been to hers and Bobs situation. When she stopped Bob
looked at her with raised eyebrows but she just shook her head and moved on.
