26C sunny
Two nice warm days in a row.
Glad to see that Canada got a gold in the trampoline, I guess that falls into the gymnastics category.
Got a got a good two or three hours on the book yesterday. Just having trouble bringing to THE END!

“I hope your Uncle realizes he has found a gem.”

Later they all gathered together in the living room, where Alicia gave a shortened account of finding Bob and getting him to the cabin. Then together they told the remainder of the story. As the story progressed Bob’s eyes initially kept finding Alicia’s then finally, to their audience, it was as though they were telling their story to each other.
Jim looked at Irene once with a questioning look but she just made a shushing motion and shook her head.
By the time the story tellers were finished and questions answered, it was late afternoon.
Alicia jumped up saying, “Would anyone like a drink? I have wine, some rum and I think a half bottle of gin.”
Jim said, “And I have a couple bottles of wine in the car, I think we should have a celebration.”
Irene interjected, “Before we start, I’m going to run up to the store. Do you have a barbeque, Alicia?”
“Oh there’s an old one out in the shed but I don’t think there is any propane. It hasn’t been used in years.”
“No problem, probably to cold outside for that anyway. I’ll pick up something we can do inside.”
Alicia said, “I’ll go with you and we can shop together. You’ll probably like our store, it’s sort of ‘old country style’.
“You go with your Mom and Alicia, honey.” Jim said to Natalie. “Uncle Bob and I have a couple more things to talk about.”
Jim went out and brought back his wine and the women headed  for the store.
After opening one of the bottles and pouring themselves a glass the two men settled once more in the living room.
“So what else do we need to talk about?” Bob asked.
“Uh well I just, well I’m curious about where you and Alicia are at.” Was the reply.
Bob flushed then said, “Well first it’s really none of your business.”
As Jim started to speak again, Bob held up his hand, “Wait I’m not finished. It isn’t any ones business but I’m kind of glad you asked. She saved my life, no question, she is really a very wonderful woman and I have grown quite fond of her.” He stopped and stared at the floor.
Jim waited a moment then said, “I think I hear a ‘but’ in that comment.”
“Yeah, the ‘but’ is that I feel guilty or maybe disloyal and I just don’t know what to do.”
They were both silent for a few more minutes, then Jim said, “Well little brother, she seems to me like a pretty nice girl, I can tell that Irene is taken with her, she’s obviously smart and can take care of things. I guess I would advise not to rush but by the same token, don’t wait too long, someone else may snatch her up.” He paused then added, “There is no reason to feel guilt now or in the future, the past is past. Drink up and I’ll pour you another.”
