Bowled in the am then went to a baseball game, San Diego against La Dodgers. Kind of boring. Canasta in the evening. Here's another excerpt.

 At the hotel he went to the desk and identified himself to the clerk.  As he was signing himself in, the clerk said, “Pardon Senor Harding, here is a message for you that arrived by le telephono before your arrival.”

 “ Oh, mucho gracias uh, Juan. “ he replied reading the clerk’s name from his id tag.  He shoved the note in his pocket and followed the bellboy and his two bags to his room.   As the bell boy, who was no boy but probably somewhere in his 70’s, was putting his bags away Marsh peeled off two American dollars as a tip, hesitated then took out a five dollar bill as well.  The man had his back to him so he asked, “What is your name, yournombre?”

 The man turned and said, “ Me nombre este Jesus, Senor.”

 “Here this is for helping me, Jesus.” Marsh said, then added, “And here is another five dollars if I may call on you for some small favors.”
