Bowled 2x, had Wallace's up for supper as they have everything moved about while they lay new flooring.

The training of the staff for fire line duty went well although we were hampered by an insufficient supply of tools. The machete proved to be a valuable tool and watching the men working it was almost like watching a strange rhythmic dance. They could cut their was through the vines and brush at an amazing speed.
Maryann found out that her students had a club and raised money by renting a canoe and guiding tourists and holidayers through the Everglades. She got the idea of applying for a grant through the Canadian embassy and was eventually successful in having the sum of $10,000 granted to the club.they then bought three canoes and started construction on a kiosk using local labor.
She also got them started on cleaning up the litter and garbage that was all through the village.
