Our usual Sunday bowl with Bernard and Alyda. Helped Erle with his shed in the pm. Visited with Caron and Len until m's cousin Judy arrived from LA. Good supper from the BBQ.
When Chico became an adult he was featured on a poster that the park produced. To try and introduce him back into a natural state they constructed a fenced area that was about a thousand feet long and 500 wide. They found a female for him, but he never showed much interest.
We were told that he attacked a guard one day and they put him down.
Perhaps he was provoked or perhaps he was just confused as he was caught up in a state of limbo between being wild and being tame.
