Slow start, went back to bed for a couple of hours, but after felt much better and almost felt normal by evening. Stayed up till after 8. Coughed through the night though.
Been reading John Grisham's Sycamore Row. It is quite good., just finished a Ken Follet book, all his books are good.
I have been working at getting signatures on the Babine forest products petition. I think the effort has helped.
As of yesterday it was up to 345 signatures.
As a few folks have incorrectly interpreted wher my sons death come into this petition, I shall reiterate.
The petition to ask our provincial premier to reopen the case of the Babine mill explosion and fire. After 3 years because of investigative flaws the government decided to take no action. 2 men were killed, 20 injured by fire.
1 year later than Babine , the Lakeland mill in Prince George exploded and burned in a very similar matter. It was in this explosion that my son and one other were killed and 30 others suffered burn injuries.
In signing the the Babine petition it is my view that the government will be more cautious about non action in the Lakeland action. So a two fold thing, 1 to give support to the Babinefamilies and survivors and 2 to send a message to the government to do due diligence about Lakeland.
I would like to garner support from everywhere as support from abroad says that the rest of the world is. Watching.
