Arrived in Athlone and checked into the Prince of Wales hotel. After some trial and error found Clonmacnoise a ruins of a monastery from about 500 ad. Back to the hotel an Verena arrived. Erle no better but has an appt with a chiropractor so Verena too M and I on a tour to Trim and Newgrange. Really good. Didn't get back till around 8pm. Erle probably a bit worse and they will try and fly out Friday from Dublin. Wednesday am, Dr. Has visited Erle at the hotel, gave him a shot, figures it is an extreme sciatic attack and wants him to rest here for another day, so we shall. My (hope  she is ) cousin Verena is a real find and we like her very much, she is also helping with the medical situation.
