I am writing this from not so Sunny Arizona. We got some of that California weather last night and the collection ponds are definitely ponds today. Much cooler as well.
We were down here all last spring and went home the end of March. Once bowling season rolled around we got busy with that again. Lots of tournaments as well as the club events. Probably the highlite was with Jim and Pauline from our club we took the silver in the BC Senior Games in Langley. So that's two years in a row. Where's the Gold??
In August we had a quick trip to the Harvey Family reunion, had a good time although missed seeing a few of the long time regulars.
In September we took our long overdue trip to Ireland. Went with the Wallaces and that was not a great trip for them as Erle suffered an injury and they had to return home after a week. We carried on, met up with Verena Roe and later the rest of her family. Thanks to them we saw some of the real Ireland and not just the everyday touristy things. And special thanks to Verena who got us to Co. Cavan and my ancestral area. We are still trying to discover if Verena and family are connected to us. But like we said, related or not, its nice to find new friends.
Home again for October then in early November again with the Wallaces we headed south in the van the four of us purchased. Been busy here ever since - bowling, bowling. Found time to help Erle with his new deck and this past week, registered the van here so it is now officially a Canadian immigrant to the US. It will stay here and we will fly in the future. Which reminds me, get your travelling done while you are young, medical insurance is a monster when you get to be a geezer!
Maryann has been busy volunteering and enjoying that and jut this minute came in the door
This year we will be home for Christmas and will return on Boxing Day. We have two spare beds, company is always welcome.
Merry Christmas to all and may the new year bring you good health and happiness.
Maryann and John
