Part sunny here in Vanderhoof.
rrived around 2pm yesterday. Golfed with Andy and Steve then a very late supper. I won't talk about my golf score!
First evening of grad ceremony tonight.

. “You look a lot stronger, I’ll help you sit up and see if you can manage on your own.”
A moment later, Bob all propped up started to sip the broth then paused. “Uh, Alicia, uh you know my name, I guess I should know all of yours.”
Alicia smiled and replied, “Of course, it’s Alicia, Alicia Aleuta Ferguson Davis. Bob took a couple more sips of the broth, watching Alicia as she started to eat.
Lowering the cup from his lips, Bob cleared his throat and said, “I’m sorry about the row we had, you said that this cabin and everything is yours?”
Nodding, Alicia chewed and swallowed her mouthful of food, “Yes, it is the island as well. I’ve brought the papers that prove it. Do you want to see them now?”
“Oh no, not right now. Finish eating and you can show me later.” Bob sipped again at his cup.
They both sat in silence as Alicia finished her meal and Bob his broth. The only noise for the next few minutes was the occasional popping sound of burning wood in the barrel stove.
Alicia pushed her plate back and asked, “How do you feel? Do you want to lie back again?”
“No, I’m okay thanks, best if I sit up and gain some energy back.”
“Well sitting up will probably do the reverse, but you have slept all day so a little longer won’t hurt you.”
Alicia checked the boiler and then opened the stove door and put the last stick of wood on the fire. “I have to bring in some more wood, be right back.”
The moment she was out the door, Bob lifted the covers and confirmed that he was naked, he felt along his backside and found the bandage on his buttock, ‘Jesus, she has been a busy gal, but how’d she get me here?’
Alicia brought in three arm loads of wood and stacked them in the wood box. She turned to Bob and asked, “By the way where’s your toilet, I can’t keep running off into the bush.”
Bob waved his arm towards one corner of the building, “Out here on past the garden, about twenty or thirty yards into the bush. Actually it’s just a “Johnson bar” over a hole in the ground.”
Alicia smiled, “I know about those. Thanks, I’ll be right back.” She went back out the door into the dusk.
